Terms & Conditions

1. Overview of Co-Parenting Companion

a. Co-Parenting Companion is a high-quality, evidence-based Co-parenting Coaching service to coach separated co-parents to have a collaborative, healthy co-parenting relationship.

b. Our clients are people who desire to resolve conflict with their co-parent quickly and who want to facilitate a healthy relationship between their children and both parents. It is not a suitable service for high conflict separations or those whose circumstances with their co-parent involve allegations of physical, sexual, emotional, psychological or financial abuse.

c. Co-Parenting Companion offers different levels of coaching according to Client needs and preferences. Participation in one course, offer, or individual coaching does not obligate the client to participate in any further coaching or offers from Co-Parenting Companion. Some of the options include:

i. Co-Parenting Companion – Compass Membership is a paid subscription-based program that includes online courses and live group coaching calls. This training and coaching model provides co-parents with concise guidance grounded in science on how to confidently co-parent children week-by-week. Additionally, it provides in-depth information on the most common pitfalls that throw co-parenting off course, with simple strategies to get back on track, and focuses on self-care and self-compassion. Membership is paid on a monthly or three-monthly basis. Live group coaching calls provide the opportunity to problem-solve issues that multiple community members may be facing, maximising learning opportunities together whilst minimising financial outlay. Calls may include direct teaching, break-out rooms, and opportunities for role-plays. Clients will never have their own co-parent in attendance at the same group coaching live call, and will not be able to view recordings of coaching calls attended by their co-parent. This is managed through “Co-Parenting Network” and “Co-Parenting Community” enrolment options (allocated after purchase). Recordings of live calls are made available for a limited time on the LMS (Learning Management System) for those who cannot attend live. Co-Parenting Companion reserves the right to edit recordings prior to publication, or to withhold publication of a recording, at its discretion. It is best suited for co-parents who want to improve their co-parenting behaviours regardless of whether their co-parent intends to do the same. Group coaching provides the opportunity for like-minded values-aligned parents to meet together and support and cheerlead each other in positive co-parenting attitudes and behaviours.

ii. Co-Parenting Companion 1:1 Coaching is a private coaching service provided by zoom or in person. Your Co-parenting Coach will work with you on your goals in parenting and co-parenting. A tailored coaching plan will be developed with you, with a quote for service provision.

iii. Co-Parenting Companion 1:2 Coaching is a private coaching service provided by zoom or in person for separated parents where both parties desire to work together on parenting and co-parenting goals. Your Co-parenting Coach will work with you on your goals in parenting and co-parenting. A tailored coaching plan will be developed with you, with a quote for service provision. In discussion with the Co-Parenting Companion Coach, clients may be offered a consult-by-consult arrangement, or a structured package to meet predetermined goals. It is ideal for:

1. Parents in the early stages of separation, including how to tell the children, initial separation arrangements, setting up healthy communication and boundaries in the new separated relationship and working together to establish a Parenting Plan. Your Co-Parenting Companion Coach will not make any decisions regarding the children’s parenting time with each parent or residential care. This option is sold as a two-part package, with the first part requiring completion of the online Co-Parenting Intensive Reset, and the second part requiring a five-ten consult commitment completed within six months.

2. Parents who would like coaching to quickly return to or establish a healthier co-parenting relationship in dealing with specific issues that have come up for their children or their co-parenting dynamic.

2. Structure of Co-Parenting Companion

a. Your Co-Parenting Coach will provide you with intake forms, a Waiver, Terms, Conditions and Consent Form. Clients agree to the following:

i. Your intention is to resolve conflict with your co-parent quickly, maintain appropriate boundaries, communicate respectfully, and facilitate a healthy relationship between your children and both parents.

ii. The circumstances of your separation do not involve substantiated allegations of physical, sexual, emotional, psychological or financial abuse.

b. Additional prerequisite for 1:2 and 1:1 Coaching: Participants agree that they do not want to resolve matters through adversarial litigation and accept that Co-Parenting Companion may terminate the provision of service if the participant takes an adversarial litigation pathway.

c. Additional prerequisite for Co-Parenting Companion Compass Membership: Your co-parent has not already enrolled in the group. Co-parents cannot attend the same group as each other. For this reason, there is a “Co-Parenting Community” and “Co-Parenting Network” option.

d. Structure of Co-Parenting Companion Compass Membership:

i. Co-Parenting Companion Compass Membership is a paid subscription service that includes online courses, a private Facebook Group and group coaching calls. Paid subscribers, and those on the free trial (where offered), will be able to access content every week.

ii. A Membership-lite option may be offered from time to time that offers access to course content only, with no live group coaching inclusions.

iii. Members may be invited from time to time to participate in 1:1 or group coaching programs. Participation in these programs is voluntary and may involve additional fees, which will be outlined to the participant before consent. Members are under no obligation or expectation to participate in any additional group or 1:1 co-parenting coaching.

iv. Members will receive the most benefit in the first 12 months, as this covers the key components of co-parenting skills and tasks across the calendar year. There are no lock-in contracts beyond the length of the subscription currently paid.

v. The Co-parenting Coach will not provide a forum for members to meet outside group coaching calls. However, members may choose to make their own arrangements to meet outside of the program, and if so, this will have no relationship with Co-Parenting Companion.

vi. Group Coaching calls will include up to thirty members. Where a group call is fully subscribed, additional times will be added so that all paid members may have the opportunity to attend a live coaching call.

vii. Membership includes:

1. Online instructional videos provided through a LMS and downloadable materials.

2. Live group coaching video calls (on zoom), including hot seat coaching (1:1 coaching in front of the group, only when the member has requested this opportunity). By consent, members may also choose to participate in roleplays and general discussion. These calls will be recorded and made available to all enrolled participants to view but not download.

3. Optional 1:1 coaching sessions. These may be included in the program as a gold tier membership or offered as an optional service for an additional specified fee. Opting into any additional fee-based service is entirely optional.

4. From time to time, a Subscription to Co-Parenting Companion – Compass Membership may be included as part of a 1:2 or 1:1 coaching package, or as an optional add-on.

e. Structure of 1:2 Coaching:

i. One or both co-parents are entitled to schedule and attend a free, no-obligation “Discovery Call” to determine if this is the right service for their needs. Where a parent does not attend a scheduled free Discovery Call, they have the option of booking a paid Discovery Call as replacement. If Tiffany Rochester determines that a coaching package or Collaborative Process could be suitable for the parents, they will be provided with a detailed quote of the coaching package.

ii. Co-Parenting Companion will invite you to schedule an individual intake appointment for each party (by zoom or in person), to be attended after the parent has completed the online component of the package (“Co-Parenting Intensive Reset”). At the end of or shortly after the intake meetings, your Co-Parenting Coach will provide you with a suggested course of coaching to achieve the goals you have identified. This may include 1:1 coaching sessions with each party and 1:2 coaching sessions. This may be offered as a package.

iii. You may terminate your arrangement with Co-Parenting Companion with two weeks’ written notice. Where a package has been purchased, the unused portion of the package may be refunded at the discretion of Co-Parenting Companion.

iv. Clients are encouraged to supplement their 1:2 coaching with a subscription to Co-Parenting Companion – Compass Membership. Doing so will likely increase the effectiveness of the coaching package; however, a subscription is not a condition of 1:2 Coaching.

v. Participants cannot elect to attend 1:1 Coaching (except where specified above and with a transparent agreement with the co-parent as part of a 1:2 Coaching package) whilst they are engaged with 1:2 Coaching.

vi. Where one party ceases 1:2 coaching sessions, it will generally not be possible for the other co-parent to continue with other services provided by Co-Parenting Companion, other than in exceptional circumstances. The determination of whether exceptional circumstances exist is at the sole discretion of Tiffany Rochester.

f. Structure of 1:1 Coaching:

i. Co-Parenting Companion will invite you to schedule an intake appointment (by zoom or in person). At the end of or shortly after the intake meeting, Tiffany Rochester will provide you with a suggested course of coaching to achieve the goals you have identified. You will agree to attend up to the maximum number of sessions indicated by Tiffany Rochester.

ii. You may terminate your arrangement with Co-Parenting Companion with two weeks’ written notice. There is no lock-in contract regarding the number of sessions you will attend.

iii. Clients are encouraged to supplement their 1:1 coaching with a subscription to Co-Parenting Companion – Compass Membership. Doing so will likely reduce the number of coaching sessions required; however, subscription is not a condition of 1:1 Coaching.

3. Relationship with The Same Mountain

a. Ms Tiffany Rochester operates Co-Parenting Companion. Ms Tiffany Rochester is a registered psychologist who provides psychological services at The Same Mountain.

b. While Ms Tiffany Rochester is a registered psychologist, the Co-Parenting Companion Program is not a psychology service.

c. By consenting to coaching services provided by Co-Parenting Companion, participants acknowledge that they are participating in a coaching program and are not receiving psychological services from Ms Tiffany Rochester.

d. To avoid any potential conflicts of interest arising, clients or parents of clients of Ms Tiffany Rochester cannot be accepted as clients of any Co-Parenting Companion program within at least two years of cessation of psychological services provided by Ms Tiffany Rochester.

e. Similarly, clients of Co-Parenting Companion, and their children, cannot be accepted as clients of Ms Tiffany Rochester within a minimum of 12 months of completion of any Co-Parenting Companion coaching subscription, group, or program.

f. Any requests for cross-referral or registration between former clients of Ms Tiffany Rochester and Co-Parenting Companion will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and will only be accepted at Ms Tiffany Rochester’s discretion, depending on the individual circumstances.

g. In the course of participating in the Co-Parenting Companion programs, issues may arise that, in Ms Tiffany Rochester’s professional opinion, are beyond the scope of the coaching relationship. If this occurs, a participant may be advised to see their GP and obtain a referral to consult with an appropriate clinician.

h. Ms Tiffany Rochester may, at any time and at their sole discretion, terminate a participant’s registration in the Co-Parenting Companion Program if Ms Tiffany Rochester considers it appropriate to do so. In the event of termination of a participant’s enrollment in the Co-Parenting Companion program on this basis, a partial refund of the participant’s registration fees may be provided for any unused portion of service.

4. Privacy and Disclosure of Personal Information

a. As part of your participation in the Co-Parenting Companion Program, Co-Parenting Companion needs to collect and record your information.

b. Our Privacy Policy is available on our website, which we request you read.

c. You will also be asked to consent to our Waiver.

d. Additional terms for Co-Parenting Companion Compass Membership members: In attending live Group Coaching calls and participating in the Facebook Group, members commit to maintaining respectful and non-derogatory language towards each other and their co-parents, ensuring that their comments do not defame or harm any other person; and upholding the confidentiality of other group members.  You acknowledge that if any group member breaches your privacy outside the group or engages in defamatory or harmful conduct, Co-Parenting Companion is in no way responsible or liable for the actions of that group member, and you agree not to bring proceedings against Co-Parenting Companion in respect of any such conduct.
